Almost April Fool's

Okay so a little back story. Back in July my dad was here for a visit. Before he left, he promised Steven that he'd be back for his birthday, which is April 2nd.

So back in Jan, I start reminding my Mom of this, my Dad hadn't forgot, and my Mom didn't know. I was told that they would see what they could do, that she wasn't sure she could swing it. So in March I was talking to my dad, and he starts asking all kinds of questions about Steven's birthday, seemed kind of weird to me, but that's my dad LOL So I give him all the answers he needed, and didn't question. He wanted to know what day Steven's party was, where it was & to make sure he knew where it was located. So I say something to my mom about it, she says it's not possible to come down for Steven's birthday that they are shooting for the 1st of May until the 10th.

This is cool with us of course, just as long as we get to see them :) So she starts telling me about their plans & ends up making a bet with us. Her end of the bet was getting tickets & ours was getting the guest room cleaned out (we never have company, became the junk room LOL). So we agree to the terms and figure we've got plenty of time.

April 2nd was Steven's birthday, we had planned to go out to eat at Stevi B's, but Steven & Braeden both had the stomach bug, so we stayed home. Around 8:30 I get a text from my Mom that said "Knock Knock, I won, now where's my rum?" At the time I had no clue what that meant. LOL I remembered the bet, so I was thinking that she had purchased the airline tickets. A couple of more minutes pass & there's a knock at the door! Not sure who it could be I go to the door, and low & behold it's my PARENTS!!!!!!!! My dad had kept his word after all!!

One day earlier & it would have been a great April Fool's joke :) It was a great visit, and I was sad to see them go. But they have plans to move here, so that's even better :) Then I will have my parents here with me all the time!!!
