So Christmas was good, everyone got lots of gifts, we spent the day watching movies, and eating Turkey.
And than today turned out to be a very bad day. We were all sitting in the house. A friend of Robert's came by to get some stuff out of her car. We were all outside talking, as she was getting ready to leave, I decided to come in the house & get Robert so that we could go to the store. While I'm upstairs Chandler comes running in the house hysterical "Mom, um, your truck was hit by so & so's truck" I asked him to repeat cause at this time I'm thinking he's joking. He begins again, "So & so's truck came down & hit your truck and hit daddy's truck" I again couldn't believe what I heard. Robert starts to get dressed, I walked outside, still not believing, and I see it. Our nephew is driving our friend's truck up the driveway, and my truck is sitting in the back of Robert's truck.
I guess what happened was her daughter was getting into the truck, her sister pushed the front seat forward to let her in, it knocked the truck out of gear, sending it & her daughters down the driveway into my truck, which than hit Robert's truck before coming to a stop! One of her daughters was hanging out of the truck, it happened so fast, no one could do anything.
We called the cops, they came out to assess the damage, and filed a police report. My tailgate on my truck is dented in, it kicked the window out of the tailgate, shoved my speakers into my backseat, destroyed my muffler, my front grill, my truck doesn't run, the brakes are gone, and not sure what else since it's too dark. Robert's truck's tailgate has a dent in it, and I think that's it. Her truck has a messed up grill, the hood doesn't shut, and there's a dent on the side of the truck. It also hit our nephews tail light.
Not sure yet how her daughter's leg is, she is taking her to the emergency room, will post an update when I know more. I am just so thankful that no one was seriously injured. They were all outside when it happened.
